Our History

The INfant Child & youth Health (INCH) lab was established in 2013 at the McMaster Innovation Park (MIP). The lab started out with the vision of better understand the mental & physical health of children & youth. The INCH lab quickly gained traction in the community with the CATCH Study, which is looking at the motor coordination and physical fitness abilities of children from early to mid-childhood.

In 2015, the INCH lab moved to the heart of Hamilton, Ontario in the David Braley Health Sciences Centre, under the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster.

Presently, the INCH lab is a partnerships between different institutions, including Brock University, McMaster University and the University of Queensland. Our past trainees are doing wonderful things around the globe with INCH lab alumni at the University of Toronto, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and more!
